One. Try on – to put on clothes to see if they fit or look good.
I tried on three dresses before choosing one.
Can I try on these jeans in the fitting room?

Two. Shop around – to compare prices and options before buying.
I like to shop around before making a big purchase.
Do you usually shop around before buying expensive items?

Three. Stock up on – to buy a large quantity of something for future use.
We need to stock up on groceries before the holiday.
Did you stock up on snacks for the weekend?

Four. Go for – to choose or decide on something.
I think I’ll go for the red jacket instead of the blue one.
Which one will you go for: the cake or the pie?

Five. Splash out (on) – to spend a lot of money on something expensive.
She splashed out on a designer handbag for her birthday.
Have you ever splashed out on something you didn’t really need?

Six. Queue up – to wait in line to buy something.
People queued up for hours to get the new iPhone.
How long did you queue up to get tickets for the concert?

Seven. Pick up – to buy something, often casually or without planning.
I picked up some fresh bread on my way home.
Did you pick up anything interesting while you were shopping?
